is the UK's largest dog welfare charity - as well as rescue and rehoming it also operates neutering campaigns and various outreach schemes.
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home
is the famous London based (but with branches at Old Windsor and Brands Hatch too) charity which rescues, reunites pets and owners where possible and rehomes when it isn't. Behaviour advice line plus lots of info on the website - and don't miss the wonderful 'Take the Lead with Bat and Zee' feature!
Kim's Home
A sanctuary for elderly dogs and others that for some reason will find it difficult to be rehomed.
